I am a Childbirth Sherpa.

As your "sherpa" or doula, I'll guide you to your desired childbirth destination and stay by your side during the entire pregnancy and postpartum journey. I can help with the heavy lifting of labor and am expert at alternative routes and birthing options. I navigate clients through the hospital environment work closely with local educators, doctors, and midwives in Atlanta.

When working with new clients, I learn their needs and help them discover the right childbirth path for their family. Many women hire me because they desire a "natural childbirth" and need support to help them achieve this since they don't know what to expect during labor or how they may react. Some women choose to work with me to help them delay the use of medication or epidural during labor and want guidance as to when to get it and still keep labor progressing. I'm comfortable supporting either type of childbirth and have different tools and techniques for any path taken.

Maybe you are one of many women who didn't have doula support during a previous pregnancy or labor and now seek professional guidance with your upcoming delivery. Perhaps you'd like a vaginal birth after a c-section (VBAC) and need labor assistance to avoid a repeat caesarean. Or maybe you want to hire a doula because your first labor was stressful for your partner and you want him or her to have the support needed to make the next birth a positive experience. After all, it is a birthday party!

Labor Support is the Icing on the Birthday Cake.
